Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
T2E is a regional transport programme aimed at getting people to work, training and employability services where traditional public transport is not available or appropriate. T2E is provided across the region by Tactran, the Tayside and Central Scotland Transport Partnership.
T2E services are available across Angus, Dundee, Perth and Kinross (PKC), and Stirling.
Transport services are provided where a need exists. These are planned in advance and require registration and booking. Services are limited and not all requests will be covered, but services that are provided will be operated for an extended period of time.
Adult residents of any area in Angus, Dundee, PKC, and Stirling can register and request transport. We will also register people aged 16-18 but will require parental or guardian consent before providing transport. Unaccompanied minors are not allowed to register or use T2E. Parents can request travel via childcare, and services can be provided to stop off at a childcare location on the way to a workplace.
All adult residents can register and apply for transport services. However, transport will not be provided where there are realistic alternatives, including public transport, or where an applicant has access to their own transport. Priority may be given to applicants within defined protected groups, such as families and individuals in poverty, amongst others, but this does not exclude other users.
Transport services are charged at an equivalent of a bus fare. This will not exceed an average bus fare for the journey being undertaken, or a mile-based approximation of a bus fare where bus services do not operate. Passengers will be informed of the fare in advance of travel being provided.
Payment is requested after travel has been made, typically on a monthly cycle, though this may be sooner where services are only used for a short period of time. THERE IS NO NEED TO PAY IN VEHICLE, and passengers should NOT make payment to the driver.
Holders of a national entitlement card, that they have told us about, will not be asked to pay a fare. Other reductions are available including for Thistle card holders. Some passengers may also qualify for fare support or travel bursary. We will work with you to identify if you qualify.
You can register using the sign up button on our website: www.t2e.scot
We will provide a contact number for everybody travelling. This will connect you directly to your transport provider, who will inform you of delays, and work out how to complete your journey. We will also resolve issues as quickly as we can and ask our passengers to let us know of any concerns or issues as and when they happen.
